Last night Raw established itself as the dominant brand by beating Smackdown live 4-3 on the night. Christmas came early to us fans with the return of a certain superstar we all love. There was also a shock title change nobody could foresee. Tonight's episode of Raw was an entertaining one that's for sure.
The Good
Paige Returns
Kurt Angle booked a fatal four way match, with the winner earning a title shot at Alexa Bliss. The match included Mickie James, Alicia Fox, Bayley and Sasha Banks. However we never got a winner from this match as Paige's music hit midway through the bout and the first ever NXT woman's champion appeared. Paige cut a decent promo, before making her way to the ring she stated that she hadn't come alone. Paige brought NXT superstars Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville along. The trio laid waste to James, Bayley and Banks while Fox ran screaming out of the arena.
Title change
Roman Reigns is a Grand Slam Champion. Reigns won the only title he had never won before by defeating The Miz to become the new Intercontinenal Champion. The Bar got involved which led to Rollins and Ambrose coming to the aid of Reigns. Roman hit the Spear to pick up the win and I've never seen The Big Dog with a smile that big on his face before as he celebrated with his brothers.
Asuka's streak
The Empress Of Tomorrow looks set to steam roll through that Raw's woman's division with ease. Tonight she had a match against Dana Brooke who she beat with ease solidifying her dominant style and presence even more. I can't see her losing anytime soon and expect big things to come in 2018.
The Bad
Kane
On Monday night Kane got involved in the match between Braun Strowman and Jason Jordan. Prior to Survivor Series Kane had been feuding with Braun. The majority of fans expected the two to face off at Survivor Series itself, this wasn't the case though. As the feud was gathering momentum and with the episode of Raw prior to Survivor Series ending with a somewhat odd ending. Everyone expected Kane to attack Strowman at the PPV, but he was nowhere to be seen. So what exactly are they building Kane v Strowman for ?
Jason Jordan
Ok so are we pushing this kid again ? I'm so confused when it comes the JJ. Ever since the announcement of him being Kurts son his path has been full of ups and downs. His in ring promo with Triple H on Raw was diabolical again. It just goes to show you can look the part but doesn't necessarily mean you have got what it takes. I hope I'm wrong as Jordan is still young, only time will tell what the future holds for him.
Triple H
Mark my word Triple H will be involved in every major Storyline on Raw from now until WrestleMania in some capacity. He loves this time of the year. Now don't get me wrong he's one of the greatest and one of my favourites of all time but this authority figured is so over used in today's WWE. There's 3 ways this could lead now, The Game could further the storyline with Angle, Jordan or Strowman. Angle at Mania would be the dream, but don't be suprised if he faces off against Jordan at Fast Lane as a warm up.
